Wafeer Intelligent Power Optimization.

Redefining energy efficiency and eliminating phantom currents for large-scale LED screens and electrical grids.

01 // About Wafeer

Born on site, engineered in the lab.

Established

2024

After 30 months of intensive research and development.

Wafeer is Faden Spectrum’s dedicated power-technology venture, born out of a real problem our own installation teams kept running into: massive LED screens and digital signage networks running on aging grids or buried lines that simply can’t handle the electrical stress of modern high-brightness displays.

Wafeer is an intelligent control system engineered specifically for large-scale projects suffering from capacitive and inductive harmonic distortion — the kind of “invisible” power loss that drives up electricity bills, overheats equipment and shortens the lifespan of everything downstream of the transformer.

Unlike passive equipment that simply absorbs or filters unwanted current, Wafeer actively senses, redirects and — where possible — converts unusable grid energy into usable power. It is the first system of its kind to combine smart capacitor behavior with intelligent functional grounding in a single, self-adjusting unit.

02 // The problem we solve

Phantom currents bouncing back to the transformer.

Large-scale displays and signage networks are non-linear loads — they draw power in irregular pulses rather than a smooth, predictable curve. On aging infrastructure or long buried cable runs, this creates severe capacitive and inductive harmonic distortion that traditional distribution setups have no way to manage.

Extreme heat

Cable exits and distribution boards spike to dangerous temperatures.

Acoustic noise

Audible resonance inside the Main Distribution Board (MDB).

Energy waste

Power the site pays for but never actually uses.

03 // How Wafeer works

Active 4-pole intelligent control.

Step 01

Sense

A Siemens PLC paired with a Schneider Power Logic PM 5500 4-pole VAR reader continuously monitors the neutral line for apparent phantom current.

Step 02

Route — Inductive load ≥ 25%

Wafeer commands its capacitor bank to activate, absorbing harmful feedback current and charging the capacitors — turning wasted energy into stored, usable power at no additional cost.

Step 03

Route — Capacitive load ≥ 40%

A Siemens PLC paired with a Schneider Power Logic PM 5500 4-pole VAR reader continuously monitors the neutral line for apparent phantom current.

Protecting the transformer · Systematic earthing

Standard TN-S distribution lets harmonic distortion cascade back toward the transformer, degrading power quality across the entire network. Wafeer’s TN-C dynamic distribution routes excess, unusable current through a smart routing node straight to functional ground — preserving wave quality and shielding the central transformer infrastructure from cumulative damage.

Inventor & Lead Researcher

Prof. Dr. Hazar Shtat

Prof. Dr. Hazar Shtat is the discoverer of the Faden Spectrum Phenomenon — the theoretical foundation behind Wafeer — which offers a Quantum Drude interpretation of Ohm’s law applied to large-scale, non-linear electrical loads.

His research was presented at the ATI 2024 Advanced Technology Conference in London and has been peer-reviewed and published across the DOAJ Scientific Research Network, IEEE Industrial Electronics Magazine and the Journal of Sensor Networks and Data Communications.

Dr. Shtat continues to lead Wafeer’s ongoing R&D, translating the underlying science into deployable hardware for real-world sites across the Kingdom.
